Bring your show to Premium

Premium is a subscription home for horror podcasts, shows and video, on the web, Roku and Fire TV. As a Creator Partner you add your own episodes, and you are paid your share of what paying members watch and listen to.

Where it playsWeb, Roku and Fire TV
What you controlYour episodes, titles, descriptions and thumbnails
Revenue shareAfter operating costs, the rest of each month's revenue is shared among creators by watch time
PayoutsMonthly, by PayPal, once you reach $25

How it works

From first hello to first payment, in the order it happens.

  1. Say helloEmail Mike at mike@corpsecollective.com with a few lines about your show. You talk it through before anything is set up.
  2. Sign the Creator Partner AgreementA short agreement covers the terms. You sign it before anything goes live. Read it below.
  3. Create your accountRegister at premium.corpsecollective.com with your email and a password, and open the verification email we send. It is a normal Premium account; we link it to your Creator Partner area.
  4. We set you upWe create your own folder in the Premium library, link your login to it, and choose the categories your episodes can appear in. You send us your episode files and we place them in your folder.
  5. Add your episodesSign in, open your Creator Partner area, pick a file from your folder, add a title, description and thumbnail, then submit it for review.
  6. We review itWe approve and publish it, or send it back with a note saying what to change. Approved episodes go live for members.
  7. You earn and get paidEach month your share of the revenue is worked out from what paying members watched. When your balance reaches $25, we pay you by PayPal.

What you need

Your files

You send us your files; we put them in your folder. Only files in your own folder can be picked in your area, and no other Creator Partner can see or use them.

Every new episode starts as a draft and is only seen by members after we approve it.

  1. You submitChoose Submit for review when the episode is ready. It waits in our review list.
  2. We approve or send it backApproving publishes it at once. Sending it back needs a note saying what to change.
  3. If it comes backYou see our note on your Overview page and get it by email at your contact address. Fix it and resubmit.
  4. When it is liveIt appears in its categories and in Recently Added automatically, on the web, Roku and Fire TV.

How you get paid

You are paid a share of the money Premium takes in, based on how much paying members watch and listen to your episodes.

The split, month by month

  1. Start with the month's net revenueThat is what members paid for the month, after PayPal's own fees. Members currently pay $1.00 a month.
  2. Premium covers its operating costs firstIt keeps a share of the net revenue for that, currently 50%. Everything above that is the creator pool.
  3. The pool is shared by watch timeEach creator's share is their paying members' watch time divided by everyone's. The Corpse Collective's own shows are counted the same way, as one more creator.
  4. Amounts are rounded down to the centAny leftover cents stay with the platform.
Only paying members earn

Viewing counts only when the member had an active PayPal subscription at the time. New members can start with free trial days, and some accounts have free access. Their viewing is free for everyone, so it earns nothing for any creator. It counts as soon as they subscribe.

An example month

These are example numbers, not a forecast.

Net revenue is $200.00. Premium keeps 50% ($100.00) for operating costs, leaving a $100.00 creator pool to be shared. Paying members watched 100 hours in total.

CreatorPaying-member watchShare of poolEarned
The Corpse Collective's own shows60 hours60%$60.00
Creator Partner A30 hours30%$30.00
Creator Partner B10 hours10%$10.00

The $25 minimum

Sending a few dollars at a time makes no sense, so a payment is made once your unpaid balance reaches $25. Until then your earnings are kept for you and carried forward. Nothing is lost, and each month's earnings stay recorded under the month you earned them.

Using the example, Creator Partner A is paid $30.00 for the first month. Creator Partner B earned $10.00, which is under $25, so it carries forward:

Creator Partner BEarnedWhat happens
Month 1$10.00Carried forward (under $25)
Month 2$18.00Balance is now $28.00, so $28.00 is paid for both months

What you receive

Your numbers

The Stats page shows your own watch numbers for any date range (the last 30 days by default).

TermWhat it means
ViewOne continuous sitting with one episode on one device.
Different viewersHow many separate accounts watched.
Watch timeTime actually played. Pausing and skipping add nothing.
Paying-subscriber watch timeThe part of your watch time from paying members. This is the number your pay is based on.

You also see watch time by day, by device (web, Roku, Fire TV) and by episode.

Privacy

You see counts only. You never see a member's name or email, or any other creator's numbers or amounts.

Your PayPal payout email

Payouts go to one PayPal email on file. You ask to set it or change it in a collapsible section on your Overview page, and a change only takes effect when we approve it. That way a stolen login cannot quietly redirect your money.

Until an address is approved, your Overview page shows a warning that you cannot be paid yet.

Questions

How much will I earn?

It depends on how much paying members watch and listen to your episodes compared with everyone else's. More paying members listening to your work means a bigger share of the pool. There is no guarantee, and the example above is only an illustration.

When do I get paid?

Once a month, after the month's revenue is known and the statement is saved, as long as your unpaid balance has reached $25. If it has not, it carries forward to the next month.

Do free trial members count?

Not until they subscribe. Viewing by a member on free days, or on a free-access account, earns nothing for any creator.

Can I see who is watching?

No. You see counts and totals, never names or emails.

Can I delete an episode?

You can unpublish it at any time, which returns it to a draft that members cannot see. Removing it completely is something we do for you.

Who decides what goes live?

You prepare the episode and we approve it. Nothing you add is visible to members until we publish it.

Where will my episodes show up?

In the categories we assign to you and in Recently Added, on the Premium website and in the Roku and Fire TV apps.

Do I need a PayPal account?

Yes, to be paid. Payouts are made through PayPal only.

Can I upload files myself?

Not at the moment. You send your files to us and we place them in your folder, then you pick them in your area.

The Creator Partner Agreement

Every Creator Partner signs this short agreement before anything goes live. You can read exactly what it says below. When you are ready to go ahead, Mike will send you a copy to sign.

Read the full Agreement

This Agreement is between The Corpse Collective Premium ("Corpse Collective Premium", "we", "us") and ______________________________ ("you"), and starts on the date of the last signature below (the "Effective Date").

1. What this is

Corpse Collective Premium is a subscription service at premium.corpsecollective.com, and on Roku and Fire TV, for horror podcasts, shows and video. Under this Agreement you may add your own episodes to Corpse Collective Premium as a Creator Partner, and you are paid a share of Corpse Collective Premium's revenue as described in section 5. The Creator Partner Guide at creators.corpsecollective.com explains how the program works day to day. If the Guide and this Agreement disagree, this Agreement controls.

2. Your content

Ownership. You keep all ownership of your episodes, titles, descriptions, thumbnails and artwork ("Your Content"). This Agreement does not transfer ownership of anything to us.

License to us. You give Corpse Collective Premium a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, stream and display Your Content, and to show its titles, descriptions and thumbnails and use them to promote the episode and Corpse Collective Premium, for as long as Your Content is published on Corpse Collective Premium and for a reasonable time afterwards to finish removing it. You may offer Your Content anywhere else; this is not exclusive.

What you promise. You promise that you own or have the rights to everything in Your Content, including music, clips, images and guest contributions; that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; and that the people who appear in it have agreed to it being published. If you use licensed music or clips, you are responsible for the license covering streaming on a subscription service.

Content rules. Horror, including violence and adult themes, is welcome. Content may not be illegal, may not sexualize minors, may not promote real-world violence against real people, and may not contain malware or deceptive material. Corpse Collective Premium may decline or remove any episode that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe creates legal risk.

3. Getting episodes onto Corpse Collective Premium

You send your episode files to Corpse Collective Premium, and we place them in your folder in the Corpse Collective Premium library. You then add each episode's title, description and thumbnail in your Creator Partner area and submit it for review. We approve and publish it, or send it back with a note saying what to change. We decide in good faith but are not required to publish any episode. Files must be in the formats and sizes listed in the Guide.

Once an episode is published its file is locked. To replace the file, you unpublish the episode, swap the file and submit it again.

4. Your account and conduct

You will use an email and password that only you control and will keep them private. You are responsible for activity under your account. Your Creator Partner area shows you counts of views and watch time only. It never shows you the names or contact details of members, and you agree not to try to learn them.

5. Revenue share and payment

The pool. Each calendar month, Corpse Collective Premium takes its net revenue for the month, which is the money actually received from paying members after payment-processor fees and refunds. Corpse Collective Premium keeps a share of that amount to cover its operating costs. The share Corpse Collective Premium keeps is currently 50%, and we may change it for future months by giving you at least 30 days' written notice (email is enough). The rest is the creator pool.

Your share. The creator pool is divided among Creator Partners in proportion to the time paying members spent watching or listening to each partner's episodes that month, adjusted as agreed with you in writing. Only time from members with an active paid subscription counts. Time from free trial members and from accounts given complimentary access does not earn revenue share.

Payment. Corpse Collective Premium pays you monthly by PayPal. You must give us a PayPal email, and changing it requires your password and our approval. If your balance for the month is under $25.00, it is carried forward and added to later months until it reaches $25.00, and is then paid. We pay within 30 days after the end of the month in which your balance reaches the minimum. Corpse Collective Premium is not responsible for PayPal fees charged to you or for delays by PayPal. If your PayPal address is missing or wrong, payment waits until it is fixed.

Statements. Each month we email you a report showing your watch time, your share and your balance. Tell us within 60 days if you think it is wrong, and we will look into it in good faith.

Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. We may ask you for tax forms (such as a W-9 or W-8) and may withhold payment until we have them, and may report payments as the law requires.

No guarantee. Corpse Collective Premium does not promise any amount of revenue, number of members or viewing. If Corpse Collective Premium earns no revenue in a month, there is nothing to share.

6. Removing episodes

You may unpublish any of your episodes at any time from your Creator Partner area. Corpse Collective Premium may unpublish an episode that breaks this Agreement or that we are legally required to remove. Removal stops future earnings for that episode but does not affect amounts already earned. After removal we may keep backup copies for a short, reasonable time and keep records needed for accounting.

7. Term and ending the Agreement

This Agreement continues until either of us ends it. Either of us may end it for any reason by giving the other 30 days' written notice (email is enough). Either of us may end it immediately if the other seriously breaks it. When it ends, we will unpublish Your Content within 30 days, and pay any balance you have earned, including any carried-forward amount under the minimum, within the next regular payment run. Sections 2 (ownership and promises), 5 (amounts owed), 8, 9 and 10 continue after the Agreement ends.

8. Limits of liability

Corpse Collective Premium provides the service "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, special or consequential damages such as lost profits, and Corpse Collective Premium's total liability to you under this Agreement is limited to the amounts owed to you for the three months before the claim arose. This does not limit your responsibility for the promises in section 2, or either of our responsibility for fraud or anything that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You will cover Corpse Collective Premium for losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from a third party's claim that Your Content, or your breach of section 2, infringes or violates their rights. You alone are responsible and liable for any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property claim about Your Content, including music, clips and images that you did not create or license, and including any takedown notice, demand or lawsuit. Corpse Collective Premium may remove an episode immediately on receiving such a claim, and may hold back payments that would otherwise be due to you, up to the amount of the claim and our reasonable costs, until it is resolved.

10. General

You are an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you an employee, partner or joint venturer of Corpse Collective Premium in the legal sense, and the words "Creator Partner" are just the name of the program. You may not transfer this Agreement without our written consent. If part of it is unenforceable, the rest still applies. This is the whole agreement about the Creator Partner program and replaces earlier discussions about it. Changes must be in writing, except that we may update the Guide and our notice period for the revenue share as described in section 5. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and disputes will be brought in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah. Notices go to mike@corpsecollective.com for us and to the contact email on your Creator Partner account for you.
